Foster is seeking reelection to the MSU Board of Trustees in the 2022 election in Michigan. My vision and values on the MSU Board are expressed as follows:
• The university is a learning environment conducive to facilitating an open exchange of ideas. However, under no circumstances should a professor inflict their personal beliefs in the classroom.
• Freedom To Work is the law in Michigan and I
am committed to overseeing its full implementation on campus.
• Cost increases in higher education must be justified and remain in check
• Tuition increases must be justified and within economic reach of the student population and their families.
• Financial aid (which has increased at 5 times the rate of tuition increases over the past 3 years) must be available for those in need.
• Conservative values are expressed when policies are being formed.
• The effectiveness of your tax dollars is maximized in all areas of the university.
• Construction projects should use tax dollars prudently.
• Admission policies remain fair and anti discriminatory. Proposal 2 is the law and should be abided by.
• Admission policies should overwhelmingly favor instate residences. Under no circumstances should illegal aliens be granted instate tuition. Biography:
