Michigan Department of Education Resource for Blind/Low Vision We provide consultation, training, and resources to families and educational teams serving students who are blind or low vision (BLV).

Our vision is to foster equitable access to a quality education for all students who are BLV. MDE RBLV provides consultation, training, and resources to families and educational teams serving students in Michigan who are blind or low vision (BLV). Foster equitable access to an appropriate education for all students who are BLV. Camp Tuhsmeheta (Camp T):
Camp T, located in Greenville, is part of MDE RBLV. Camp T was established more than 40 years ago, named for the four senses used by its visitors: touch (tuh), smell (sme), hear (he), and taste (ta). Camp T provides a fun and safe outdoor learning environment for all students and offers events for families throughout the year. We would like to welcome Assistive Technology (AT) Specialist Ather Jammoa to our team! Ather has worked as an AT instructor for several organizations in Michigan and has been a member of our AT team for several years. In his new position, he looks forward to working closer with teachers working with students who are blind/low vision as they prepare for college and beyond.
