Trevor R. Thomas, Equality Michigan Action Network board chair, said: “It’s momentous to have elected our first-ever out statewide official in Dana Nessel. The fact that she’s been at the vanguard of our fight for civil rights for years is even more so. It’s been decades since Michigan’s LGBT community had an advocate in the attorney general’s office. To have not just an ally, but a fighter who truly gets it, who lives it, means so much.”

We are thrilled to report that Dana Nessel will be Michigan’s next Attorney General. Pride PAC has issued the following statement:

“This is incredible for the LGBT community, and for our allies and activists,” said Trevor Thomas, Equality Michigan Action Network board chair. “It’s momentous to have elected our first-ever out statewide official in Dana Nessel; the fact that she’s been at the vanguard of our fight for civil rights for years is even moreso. It’s been decades since Michigan’s LGBT community had an advocate in the attorney general’s office. To have not just an ally, but a fighter who truly gets it -- who lives it -- means so much.”

Breaking News: It's projected that civil rights champion, Gretchen Whitmer, will be Michigan's next Govenor. Pride PAC has issued the following statement:

“We have always known that the vast majority of Michiganders believe in equality and fully inclusive civil rights,” said Steph White, Equality Michigan Action Network executive director. “Gretchen Whitmer will be the champion we need to move equality forward in Michigan. If we want Michigan to be a great place for everyone to live, and with leaders like Gretchen Whitmer on board and out front, we know we can.”

Goodness, this does get old, doesn't? GOTV for Garnet Lewis!
"On This Day In Michigan History
On Oct. 29, 2008, Gary GLENN, the head of Campaign for Michigan Families at the time, claimed 98th House District candidate Garnet LEWIS, a le***an, was hiding her pro-gay agenda from likely voters."

As noted in this article, Pride PAC endorsed candidate, Sean McCann, lost his Senate bid in 2014 by 60 votes. We cannot let this happen again.

Your vote matters, and we are counting on all voters to get out on November 6th and support candidates that champion fairness and equality for all Michiganders.

Donald Trump won Michigan by 10,704 votes in 2016, a difference of 0.2 percent over Hillary Clinton -- less than three votes per precinct.

Let’s make 2018 the year we break the Republican-trifecta streak by voting for candidates who support policies that do not discriminate against the LGBT community.

An increasingly dire situation calls for a radical change in approach.
