Michigan's Campaign to End Homelessness AmeriCorps Program (CTEH) and the Capacity Building to End Homelessness AmeriCorps VISTA Program (CBEH) host AmeriCorps members across Michigan, in partnership with housing and homeless service agencies. s. CTEH members serve as Housing Search and Information Specialists, Outreach Specialist, and Resource Generation and Management Specialists. Members provide direct, targeted services to individuals in Michigan who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness, aiming to provide service connections to those not engaged in care, to assist with obtaining and maintaining safe, affordable housing, and increasing self-sufficiency through income and employment. The Capacity Building to End Homelessness AmeriCorps VISTA Program (CBEH) hosts 8 members each year who engage in service with housing and homeless service agencies. CBEH members provide capacity-building services to agencies, through the focus areas of: financial resources, volunteer generation and management, community engagement and awareness, and strengthening and expanding partnerships and networks. Members help agencies increase their capacity by helping to increase their effectiveness, efficiency, scope, and reach.
