CASA for Kids, Inc. Barry, Eaton & Ingham Counties

CASA for Kids, Inc. Barry, Eaton & Ingham Counties Our advocacy services support children experiencing foster care by securing services to promote their well-being.

CASA was established by the National CASA Association and Michigan CASA Inc. to be the "eyes and ears" of the court in cases where the children are removed from their homes because of abuse and/or neglect. CASA volunteers can make a real difference in a child's life and we as a community of concerned citizens have an opportunity to make it happen.

Play Is for Everyone! 🛝💚

Today, we’re celebrating the dedication of a special playground built around a simple but powerful idea: every child deserves a place to play. Thank you to Origami Rehabilitation and The Izzo Legacy for Hugh's Happy Place!

We’re so excited to celebrate this space and the community that came together to make it possible. Here’s to more laughter, more adventures, more friendships, and more opportunities for every child to play!

Because play is for everyone. Even adults! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ftt0iyaKJGc

Today we're kicking off our week long celebration of 35 years of Advocacy in Barry County and beyond. Incredible volunteers across this community have advocated for kids involved in foster care since 1991! 👏 Tonight we're gathered at MOO-ville Creamery in Nashville, MI to share a sweet treat and laughs with these dedicated volunteers. 🍦 (and pet the cute animals who steal the show 😆) If you're nearby, come say hi and grab a cone! 🥰

“I reread passages from my favorite books. I hold the little treasures that somebody special gave me. These small actions help remind me that there are so many great, glorious pieces of good in the world.” - Dolly Parton

We feel her loss deeply along with everyone. From our staff members, to our advocates, to the families we serve we have all benefitted from Dolly’s Imagination Library. Reading is a crucial thing for children and an opportunity for family bonding. The Imagination Library fills a gap for families who may have no other way to access books.

We will continue to do the important work of advocating for every child. But if you come to our offices tomorrow, let us know what your favorite Dolly Parton song is! We will be working 9 to 5!
