MSEARCH Michigan Student/Resident Experiences and Rotations in Community Health Program

Primary health care needs throughout Michigan will be fully met by a multi-disciplinary primary health care workforce sustained by a pipeline of primary health care professionals educated in an environment with:

• strong linkages between communities and health professional training programs,
• collaboration among health professional training programs (within and across disciplines), and

Be sure to check out Education 2 Practice, the statewide interprofessional education initiative!

We are building upon the infrastructure of the M-SEARCH program, in order to enhance the clinical experience by integrating collaborative learning into rotations.

Education2Practice (E2P) is a statewide initiative encouraging health educators and professionals to work together to increase the number of high-functioning health care teams capable of caring for the whole patient.

The Wayne State University College of Nursing is part of a $1.5 million grant awarded to the Michigan Department of Community Health by the United States Health Resources and Services Administration to develop an Advanced Practice Nurse Leader primary care model for overweight and obese patients.
