🏆 Michigan students made history at the National High School Mock Trial Championship!

Congratulations to Bahiya Saidali of Kalamazoo Central High School, who earned 1st place in the nation in the Courtroom Artist competition. This is the first-ever national artistry title for the Michigan Center for Civic Education Courtroom Artistry Program! 🎨⚖️

Michigan’s Mock Trial students showcased exceptional professionalism, civic knowledge, and advocacy skills.

We are incredibly proud of all of the students, educators, attorney coaches, judges, and volunteers who made this achievement possible. Thank you for continuing to inspire the next generation of civic leaders!

"We played against such great teams in the Michigan tournament that we are honored to represent the Mock Trial community of our state. We are lucky to have fantastic volunteer coaches, supportive families with the ability to help, and excellent team managers. I am always grateful for all of the people who make it possible for me to do it, and the amazing students who make it worth it." - Chloë Root (coach)

Good luck to Community High School from Ann Arbor as they represent Michigan at the National High School Mock Trial Championship!
