After boarding a Boeing 737 “Freedom Plane,” historic documents will soon be heading to their next destination, Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, where they will be on display from July 9-26.
Inspired by the Bicentennial Freedom Train, The National Archives and Records Administration’s exhibition “Freedom Plane National Tour: Documents That Forged a Nation” has been traveling across the country as part of America’s 250th anniversary.
Documents on display will include:
▪️ Original Engraving of the Declaration of Independence, 1823
▪️ Articles of Association, 1774
▪️ George Washington's, Alexander Hamilton's, and Aaron Burr's Oaths of Allegiance, 1778
▪️ Treaty of Paris, 1783
▪️ Secret Printing of the Constitution in Draft Form, 1787
▪️ Tally of Votes Approving the Constitution, 1787
▪️ Senate Markup of the Bill of Rights, 1789
