Fairmount Fire Company - Lansdale, Pennsylvania The Fairmount Fire Company has been protecting the Lansdale area since 1889. The 60-strong fire force No 1 of LANSDALE.

On Saturday January 12,1889 the town council, concerned about the fire safety in the borough of Lansdale started the "LANSDALE HOSE AND STEAM FIRE ENGINE COMPANY No. 1". On April 26, 1889 a group of citizens who had become impatient with the slow progress of the town council formed a rival group called "HOOK & LADDER COMPANY No 2" which would be soon named "FAIRMOUNT HOOK & LADDER, and FIRE Engine CO.

Reminder we will be at the firehouse Wednesday (Aug 19th) evening from 5pm-7pm to accept Gatorade and Wishlist donations.
You can also stop by and drop off your registration for His & Hers BINGO for October 23rd. If your a crafter and want to reserve a spot for our Holiday Craft Show for November 7th, you can drop that off as well.

We’d like to echo Upper Gwynedd’s message from incident that occurred at Sunday’s house fire: please never drive over a fire hose.

These supply lines provide the water our crews need to do their job. Driving over them can damage the hose or interrupt the water supply, putting firefighters and the people and property we’re there to protect at risk.

If you come across a hose in the roadway, please take a moment to find another way around. A small detour can make a big difference.

Yesterday around 5:45pm Ladder and Engine 14 were dispatched to assist Upper Gwynedd Township Fire Department on a residential building fire. Ladder 14 operated as First Due Truck (FDT) and performed a primary search and the placing ground ladders. Engine 14’s crew assisted with ventilation and checking for extension. Crews remained on scene to help with clean up and overhaul.

Thank you to Colmar Volunteer Fire Company for covering our first due with R12 while we were tied up in Upper Gwynedd.

This fire concluded a 10 call weekend that consisted of a Vehicle Rescue, 3 Building fire dispatches, a vehicle fire dispatch and a handful of fire alarms.
