You can feel the frustration, anger, concern, and hurt in their voices week after week and month after month of public comments at school board meetings. Mr. Kassa simultaneously criticizes them for being vocal now and not vocal before the pandemic. Parental engagement is an indicator of student success, so maybe Mr. Kassa just doesn’t like being questioned? Did he get too used to doing as he pleased without public scrutiny? Listen below to see where that has gotten us.

North Penn deserves leaders who empower parents and guardians to be involved in students’ education. Engage the community to support our schools such as community book review panels for books with sensitive content.

Stoll, Fusco, Kassa and Roesch went against expert advice and kept schools closed longer than they should have been. We are seeing the consequences of those actions today socially, behaviorally and academically. How can we trust that their decisions going forward will actually follow the experts and not politicians?

Jonathan Kassa continues to use the talking point that at least we didn’t have to erect a monument to the North Penn kids who died. Let’s look at the data:

Taxpayers should know why our taxes are being raised above the maximum amount. Why can't Stoll, Fusco, Kassa and Roesch give a consistent answer as to why they raised taxes ABOVE the Act 1 index for the first time EVER?

Was it special education? Was it infrastructure? Or was it for the football stadium?

During a global pandemic when our school and community needed him most, Jonathan Kassa abandoned North Penn for his failed state representative campaign. While knocking on doors (and barely able to properly wear his mask) he complained about how much time he was spending on school board work since it was an UNPAID position. Sounds like he’s only using this position as a stepping stone to higher, PAID offices.

North Penn has seen a significant decline under the leadership of North Penn Neighbors for Progress. Leaving aside the methodology of these rankings, these are metrics the district uses to measure progress and metrics that families look at when moving into or out of districts. This is not the “progress” we should be striving for. Why are we falling so far behind other districts within our state?

North Penn Neighbors for Progress state that if re-elected, they will “continue the progress begun in 2017.” This includes “collaborating with the community to better inform our comprehensive strategic initiatives.”

If President Stoll and her team honestly seek community collaboration, why are they resorting to intimidation tactics? Why are they putting restrictions on public comments when many other districts in the area are not? Where’s the renunciation of their supporter who said they hoped a young child ended up on a vent for advocating for parental choice for masking? Where is the renunciation of their supporter who verbally harassed another child to the point of tears, then sped off through the high school parking lot through stop signs while giving the middle finger to a group of community members and children? Is this how Stoll, Fusco, Kassa and Roesch intend to continue “collaborating” with the community?

Let’s review how the actions of the incumbent North Penn Neighbors for Progress stack up against Board Policy 011: Principles for Governance and Leadership.

tldr: Actions taken by the North Penn Neighbors for Progress incumbents – Stoll, Fusco, Kassa and Roesch – all restrict the ability to have an open, honest and respectful dialogue with the community and clearly show that the incumbents don’t value input from the community.
