Langhorne Community Memorial Association- Richardson House

The Langhorne Community Memorial Association was formed in 1919 and chartered on April 30, 1921.

The association oversees the historic building and its grounds on the corner of Maple and Bellevue Avenues in Langhorne Borough, PA. The buidling is chartered to be "A Community Memorial to the men of the war services of the United States, the men and women of the Langhorne Branch of the Southeastern Chapter of the Red Cross, and the men and women of all other organizations who patriotically contr

ibuted their time and resources at the Nation's call druing the Great War, and to be used for the holding of meetings, receptions, fairs, suppers and other forms of entertainment for patriotic, public and civic purposes". Today, the building honors those brave and women who serve our country. It also serves as a community center for meetings, education, concerts and even weddings. The grounds are host to summer concerts, beautiful gardens and a wonderful resting spot for the community. The association and building oversee committee is made up of 9 members, five from Langhorne Borough, and one each from Langhorne Manor, Penndel, Hulmeville and Middletown Township. The association is funded from a small endownment, rental income and from community donations.

The American Legion of Langhorne will have their world famous burgers and dogs, the Langhorne Borough Business Association will have concessions, snacks, and other goodies, Artful Treasures will have kids crafts, and one final epic 50/50! Keep a close eye on this page for updates. See you in the park!

Be careful Langhorne

WEST MARSHALL AVENUE CLOSED FOR REPAIRS

Due to the severity of the sinkhole that opened up on West Marshall Avenue this morning, the Bucks County Water and Sewer authority have closed the street for repairs. Only local traffic is permitted. This closure will last for a few days until the necessary repairs are made.

The Richardson House (the building predates the founding of the association) was dedicated by the LCMA to honor those who served in WWI and to preserve the building for the community. The LCMA would like to invite you to an Open House in honor of this prestigious anniversary. We hope you can join us November 11 or November 13 from 10:00am - 1:00pm at the Richardson House 102 W. Maple Avenue in Langhorne Borough.

A great big thank you to Shady Brook Farms for the great big load of dirt to help with the walkway project at the Richardson House! This new walkway is wheelchair accessible making the grounds more open to the community.
