📢 **UTILITY PAYMENT REMINDER**

The City Commission would like to remind residents that **utility bills are due by the 25th of each month**.

💧 A payment drop box is available in the City Hall entryway.

📅 If the 25th falls on a **weekend or holiday**, payments will be processed on the **next working day before penalties are applied**.

**Please note the following:**

• Once late penalties are applied, **they will not be removed** if payment was received after the due date.

• **Late reminder letters will no longer be mailed.** A utility bill is sent each month, and it is the account holder’s responsibility to make payment by the due date.

• Once an account becomes **90 days past due**, a door hanger will be placed at the property.

• If the account is not **paid in full or a payment plan has not been signed**, utility service will be shut off.

• A **$75 shut-off fee** and a **$75 reconnection fee** will be charged.

• If the property’s **curb stop is not in working order** when shut-off is required, the City will have the curb stop repaired and the **cost of the repair will be assessed to the property**.

We understand that circumstances can arise that make paying a bill difficult. Residents are encouraged to contact City Hall **before an account becomes severely delinquent** to discuss payment arrangements.

We are sorry that stricter enforcement has become necessary; however, a significant amount of staff time has been spent attempting to collect past-due accounts. Consistent enforcement helps ensure that all utility accounts are handled fairly and responsibly.
