The Rusk County Commissioners Court has approved a burn ban, effective immediately. A copy of the signed order will be made available at the conclusion of Commissioners Court.

We respectfully wish to clarify that the members of the Laneville Volunteer Fire Department have not endorsed any candidate or taken a position on any political race.

At no time has the department held any meeting, taken any vote, or authorized any individual to speak on behalf of the department or issue a blanket statement endorsing any political candidate or race.

As a tax-exempt organization, we are committed to remaining nonpartisan and do not engage in political endorsements in order to maintain compliance with regulations governing our status.

Any endorsement that has been communicated was made by a single individual and does not represent the department as a whole or its membership. Each member retains the right to support and vote for candidates based on their own personal beliefs and opinions.

We appreciate the community’s support and understanding as we remain focused on our mission of serving and protecting the public.

Join us this Saturday Oct 25th from 11am to 3 pm for our annual fish fry, bingo and live auction. We are currently watching the weather please stay tuned in for updates. We will have over flow parking just down the road at the intersection of FM 840 and FM 1798. WE WILL HAVE SHUTTLES to get you back and forth from the parking. THE RAIN WILL NOT STOP US . EVERYTHING WILL BE IN DOORS

We wanted to say a huge thank you to the community and to our fellow firefighters who helped make the street dance happen! It was a success and we all had a great time! We are already looking forward to next year!
