Flood Watch issued June 20 at 3:36AM CDT until June 20 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Birmingham AL: Widespread showers and storms are expected to develop once again
today along a stalled frontal boundary draped across Central
Alabama. High confidence exists for slow-moving storms capable of
producing very heavy rainfall on top of already saturated soils for
locations within the watch area.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall on top of already
saturated soil conditions is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Chambers, Chilton,
Clay, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson,
Lamar, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens,
Pike, Randolph, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter, Talladega,
Tallapoosa, Tuscaloosa and Walker.

Tornado Watch Canceled!

Latest updates have the risks for threats from the system out of Chambers by 8pm-ish. Still some rain behind it, but nothing at or above severe limits after that, for tonight. Flooding will remain an issue through Friday, as of now.

Flood Advisory issued June 18 at 1:41PM CDT until June 18 at 4:45PM CDT by NWS Birmingham AL: Periods of very heavy rain will move through the advisory area this
afternoon and create dangerous driving conditions. Ponding of water
in poor drainage areas is also expected along with some minor
overflow in small streams and ditches.

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Barbour, Chambers, Lee, Macon and Russell.

* WHEN...Until 445 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 138 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will
cause urban and small stream flooding.
- Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area.
This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
