Come make a bee house with us on June 4th at 3pm with author and artist Heidi Bacon! It’s free and open to all, ages 6 and up. Please call us to register ahead of time, as space is limited. Bring your own white mug and consider donating any white mugs you may have.

Fillmore County Public Health is hosting a community shower for expecting parents and families with children birth to 2 years old at the Lanesboro Community Center on Friday, May 1st. There will be plenty of resources and giveaways. We hope to see you there!

In anticipation of the Lanesboro Community Theater's summer production, Driftless Fiber Arts Collective is hosting a community read-aloud of the sci-fi classic A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle each Thursday at 6pm from March 19th through May 14th. Beginning this Saturday, you can borrow copies of A Wrinkle in Time from a community read table set up in the Lanesboro Public Library. If we run out of community copies, our friendly librarians will help you find a copy in our inter-library loan system. Did you know A Wrinkle has also been published as a graphic novel? Come check it out!

A big THANK YOU to local authors Nicole Howard and Mason Howard for holding a wonderful book reading and ice cream social this past Saturday for their newest book: The Ice Cream Adventure. Stay tuned for the next adventure for Salty Peanut and Sweet Strawberry!

Be sure to stop in to the library this week to register for the Puzzle Contest, held at the Sons of Norway Lodge this Saturday (March 7) at 2pm! Sign up in teams of 1-4 people to complete a 300-piece jigsaw puzzle as fast as possible. Adult team registrations (age 13 and up) are $10 per team and youth teams (age 7-12) are free. And, yes, there will be prizes!
