Membership Training Spotlight...

Shoutout to Firefighters Eckert and Montgomery for recently advancing their training. FF Eckert passed her Proboard Firefighter 2 and FF Montgomery just passed the practical skills today for his Proboard Firefighter 1! These are just a few of the advancements our members are making to help protect the visitors and residents of East Hempfield Township.

Engine 69 was due on the 3rd alarm assignment to Columbia Borough this afternoon. Thanks to New Danville Fire Co. for standing by to cover the township.

The engine company operated on a fire overnight in Rapho Township. Engine 69 worked alongside Fire Department Mount Joy and Rohrerstown Fire Company personnel and cleared in just under an hour.

The station logged 6 calls in the past 2 days, including vehicle accidents on Route 283, Columbia Avenue, and Church Street.

Yesterday the Squad participated in the annual Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware and Susquehanna Valley Convoy at the Manheim Auto Auction. We enjoy participating in the event every year to help raise money for additional wishes to be granted. Fire police also assisted with traffic control.

Call #325 of the year came this morning to assist with ducklings in the storm drain at the local hospital. The ducklings were happily reunited with their mother shortly after.
