Tonight, dozens of friends and supporters on the west side of the county embraced Nikki at an event at Spartan Manor. “I want to say thank you for being here tonight. I greatly appreciate your love and support!” She told her guests. One of her (many) important missions as Clerk is to educate the public about the growing issue of property fraud. “We want to make sure the public is aware of it,” Nikki said. “We want to make sure they know what it is and how to protect themselves.” A heart felt thank you again to all those who attended!

What an incredible turnout for Nikki’s campaign kickoff! Local dignitaries, professionals, supporters and friends packed the Florida Cracker in Dade City. During her remarks, Nikki commented on why she is so passionate about this Office, “I feel like this Office fits me so well because I’m able to use my education and experience to help people get to a better day,” Nikki said. “That is just a blessing to me and that’s why I love this Office.” Thank you to everyone who attended!!!

NIKKI ALVAREZ-SOWLES JOINS STATEWIDE EXECUTIVE BOARD
CCOC Council Sets Policy, Court-Related Clerk Budgets Across Florida

Florida Senate President Wilton Simpson appointed Nikki Alvarez-Sowles, Esq., Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller, to the Florida Clerks of Court Operations Corporation Executive Council.

Beginning April 11, Clerk Alvarez-Sowles’ term on the CCOC Executive Council is for two years.

Clerk Alvarez-Sowles joins nine other council members who discuss and make decisions regarding Clerks of Court Operation Corporation business and budgetary matters.

Created at the direction of the Florida Legislature, the Clerks of Court Operation Corporation was assigned the crucial role of supporting the Clerks of Court in all 67 Florida counties with their court-related budget activities. The Clerks of Court Operation Corporation provides the professional budget support to ensure fair and equitable allocation of resources needed to sustain court operations for Clerks.

A lawyer with experience in the efficient, effective operations of public institutions, Clerk Alvarez-Sowles, was elected without opposition to her first, full term as Pasco County’s Clerk & Comptroller June 12. She assumed the role of elected official in January at the conclusion of her appointed term in the position ordered by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Tampa native Alvarez-Sowles joined the Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller’s Office in 2007. Promoted to Chief Operations Officer in 2010, she oversaw a broad range of taxpayer-friendly initiatives that improved customer service, boosted efficiency, drove down costs, and enhanced transparency.
