September is National Literacy Month, and it's a good reminder of something small but meaningful in our Operation School Bell program: reading materials. Alongside backpacks, school supplies, and hygiene kits, getting books into kids' hands is part of setting them up for the school year.

Our Assistance League of Antelope Valley Commonality Program is built to respond to real needs right here in the Antelope Valley — things like assault survivor kits, winter coats, hygiene kits, infant and preschool essentials, and kits for homeless veterans. It also supports Homes4Families and Friends of the Cemetery, honoring the veterans in our community.
