🌟Staff Spotlight 🌟
Adam is an Agriculture Engineering/Technical Specialist that designs best management practices (BMPs) for farms throughout Lancaster County. He is also ACT 38 certified and assists with Nutrient Management plan reviews. Adam received his BS degree from Delaware Valley College in Agronomy and has now been working for the District for over 17 years.
Adam’s first involvement in agriculture was baling hay with his uncle. He then gained valuable experience while later working varying jobs in the ag industry. Some of these include working with nursey and greenhouses, hog finishing barns, layer houses, a feed mill, steer finishing, custom combining, and crop production. He enjoys getting to work with the wide variety of farms in Lancaster County.
In his free time, Adam enjoys collecting and showing antique farm equipment. He can also be found completing various woodworking projects.

While out in nature this fall, be sure to keep an eye out for manmade rock dams in local streams. While they may be a fun stream activity, be sure to move the rocks back to their places after the fun is done. Threats of these rock dams can include loss of habitat and passage barriers to sensitive and important aquatic organisms. In addition, streams may face accelerated erosion as water may reroute in a direction that is not natural.
