đź‘® Have you noticed a new officer at your school recently?

Now that school is in session, we have several campus assignment updates to share, including changes made over the summer and upcoming transitions.

Over the summer:

* Officer Carrillo was assigned to Rolling Hills Elementary and Rosa Parks Elementary.
* Officer Warren joined Sgt. Washington-White at Elsie Robertson Middle School.

Beginning Monday, August 31, 2026:

* Following his recent promotion to Detective, Officer Davis will be reassigned to Pleasant Run Elementary.
* Officer Uresti will join Officer Tutton and K9 Lucy at Lancaster High School.

While assignment changes are uncommon, our commitment remains the same: providing a safe and secure learning environment for every Lancaster ISD student and staff member.

Please join us in welcoming our officers to their new campus assignments! 🧡🖤

Please note that holidays, school closures, and summer schedules may affect these hours.

📞 AFTER-HOURS ASSISTANCE

🚨 FIRST DAY COMPLETE! 🚨

The first day of school is officially in the books! 📚🍎

A huge shoutout to our amazing police officers and security staff for their hard work and dedication in helping keep our students, staff, and campuses safe as we kicked off the new school year.

There were many moving parts across our district as students arrived on campus this morning. Through it all, our officers and security staff remained vigilant, visible, and ready to respond while helping ensure a safe and successful start to the school year.

We are incredibly thankful for the men and women who work each day to protect our district and provide a safe learning environment for our students and staff.

🎒 WELCOME BACK, STUDENTS & STAFF! 🏫

Today is officially the first day of the 2026–2027 school year! We’re excited to welcome our students and staff back for another great year.

As everyone returns to campus, please remember to slow down and stay alert in school zones. Be mindful of school buses, flashing school-zone lights, crossing guards, and students traveling to and from school.

Please plan ahead and expect traffic delays today. With it being the first day of school, traffic around our campuses and throughout the district may be heavier than usual. Give yourself extra time, be patient, and most importantly—help us keep our students safe.

We hope all of our students and staff have a safe and wonderful first day of school and an amazing year ahead!🍎📚

🚨 NEW VEHICLE ALERT🚨

The Lancaster ISD Police Department is excited to announce the newest addition to our fleet!

A few weeks ago, our department took possession of a brand-new 2026 Ford Explorer Interceptor. This vehicle was made possible through a Criminal Justice Grant awarded by the Office of the Governor.

The vehicle arrived fully equipped with emergency equipment and recently had its emergency radio installed. After the final preparations were completed, it officially became ready for service just in time for the start of the new school year.

Although this vehicle will remain unmarked, it will play a vital role throughout the district. It has already been assigned to one of our officers and will be used for daily operations, special assignments, and traffic enforcement in our school zones to help ensure the safety of our students, staff, and visitors.

We would also like to give a special shout-out to Dr. A. Knight for her dedication, hard work, and commitment to securing this grant. Her efforts made this addition possible, and we are incredibly grateful for her support.

As always, the Lancaster ISD Police Department remains committed to providing a safe learning environment for all students and staff.

School is officially back in session for our staff at Lancaster ISD.

Today marked the beginning of our annual safety training for both returning and new staff members. This training equips employees at each campus with the knowledge and skills they need to respond effectively should a threat ever occur.

Chief Wherley presented this year’s safety training at three different campuses today, with the remaining campuses scheduled throughout the week.

At Lancaster ISD, we remain committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for our students and staff.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to celebrate Mrs. Tippit’s birthday. Today, Mrs. Tippit is another year older and another year more blessed.

Mrs. Tippit is the backbone of our department and handles countless responsibilities behind the scenes. She somehow always knows when it’s your birthday — and even the birthdays of your children and spouses. Mrs. Tippit truly has a servant’s heart, and we are incredibly blessed to have her as part of our team.

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Tippit! We hope you have a wonderful, blessed, and truly fabulous day.
