🎣🐟 Hooks and Bobbers Fishing Derby 2026 🐟🎣

What an awesome day at the annual Hooks and Bobbers Fishing Derby held today at Alley Park – Lake Loretta!

Youth ages 3-15 joined family members, friends, and community partners for a morning filled with fishing, fun, and friendly competition.

Thanks to the partnership between the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Deputies and Lancaster Parks and Recreation, young anglers had the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while learning the basics of fishing and sportsmanship.

Fishing poles and bait were provided to participants, and multiple prizes were awarded at the conclusion of the event, making it an exciting experience for everyone involved.

Events like this help strengthen the connections between our deputies, local youth, and families while creating lasting memories in a beautiful outdoor setting.

A special thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped make this year's derby such a success.

Seeing so many smiles, family photos, and excited young fishermen and fisherwomen reminds us why community partnerships matter.

We look forward to seeing everyone back on the shoreline next year! 🎣🏆🐠

Teen Night at the Pool was a Splashing Success!

A huge thank you to our great community partners at Lancaster Parks & Recreation and Tiki Pool for hosting another outstanding Teen Night Pool Party!

The evening was filled with great music, provided by D.J.- AL, swimming, fun contests, delicious food, and plenty of laughter as local teens enjoyed a safe and exciting night with friends.

The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office was proud to partner in the event, with our Fairfield County School Resource Deputies serving as chaperones and spending time connecting with students outside the school setting. Building positive relationships with our youth is an important part of our mission, and events like these provide a wonderful opportunity to strengthen those connections in a fun and relaxed environment.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening a memorable one. We appreciate our community partners for investing in opportunities that keep our youth engaged, active, and connected throughout the summer.

We look forward to seeing everyone the next time!

When Duty Calls—Above and Below the Surface

The Fairfield County Dive Team, of which the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office is proud to be a part, recently responded to a report of a vehicle submerged in Cenci Lake Park.

During the operation, Deputy Dustin Beavers, a certified public safety diver, successfully secured a tow strap to the submerged vehicle, allowing it to be safely recovered from the water. Fortunately, the vehicle was unoccupied. Following its removal, investigators determined it had been stolen.

Incidents like this highlight the specialized training and dedication of our dive team members. These highly skilled responders train year-round in all types of weather and water conditions to prepare for the unique challenges they may face. Whether assisting with submerged vehicle recoveries, locating critical evidence, or supporting search and recovery operations, their commitment to professionalism and public safety is unwavering.

We are grateful for the teamwork, expertise, and dedication demonstrated by Deputy Beavers and all of the members of the Fairfield County Dive Team. Their behind-the-scenes work plays a vital role in keeping our communities safe.

Specialized training. Professional response. Serving Fairfield County—above and below the surface.
