Rep Heather Bauer of SC House District 75 was the only Democrat to flip a red seat to blue in 2022. She ran against the previous incumbent again in 2024 and more than quadrupled the margin. She’s been a strong voice for women’s right, food access, and government accountability. She prides herself on stellar constituent services. She has won several legislator awards acknowledging her hard work at getting legislation passed and standing up for what’s right. She’s making her way across the state to talk to folks the status of the state house!

Nationwide rallies happening this Saturday!
Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. South Carolina belongs to us and we are fighting back!

They're taking everything they can get their hands on—our health care, our data, our jobs, our services—and daring the world to stop them. This is a crisis, and the time to act is now.

This mass mobilization day is our message to the world that we do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. Alongside Americans across the country, we are marching, rallying, and protesting to demand a stop the chaos and build an opposition movement against the looting of our country.

A core principle behind all Hands Off! events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

here will be a rally in Rock Hill and another one in Columbia. LCDP members will be at both rallies! Here is the event information for each location for anyone who wants to join in, the more people the better!

Note: The General Meeting and Convention Planning Meeting on March 6th are both canceled since the County Convention is this Saturday, March 8th.

We're all concerned with what is happening in our country. Help us fight back and be part of shaping the future of our party! At the convention, we’ll elect new county leadership, vote on key resolutions, and choose delegates for the state convention. In order to be a delegate to the State Convention you must attend the County Convention.

Leadership Positions:
County Chairperson: Responsible for the coordination of all county-wide Democratic Party activities through the Vice Chairs, and coordinating with the State Chairperson.
Vice-Chairpersons (3): The objective of each Vice-Chair is to assist the County Chair with voter outreach, candidate recruitment, and volunteer organization.
State Executive Committee Representatives (2): A member of the County Executive Committee who attends State Executive meetings to advocate for the LCDP at the state level and report back to the LCDP monthly.
State Alternate Executive Committee Representatives (2): Assumes the responsibilities of the Executive Committee Representative if they are unable to attend the Executive Committee Meeting.
Precinct President / Committee Member: Responsible for voter outreach and volunteer organization in their precinct with the assistance of the Vice-Chairs.
State Convention Delegate: Represents the County Party at the State Convention in May. Will vote on South Carolina Democratic leadership and statewide resolutions.
If you have an idea for a resolution that you would like the County Party to adopt, please submit the resolution to [email protected] by Thursday, March 6th.

Good evening, a phishing email was sent out to some members of LCDP this morning. If you received this email, or any other email from [email protected], please delete the email and do not respond to it. This email is not from Rosalind, or anyone else in the county party.

We have updated the password for the LCDP email account to prevent future phishing attempts. If you receive any emails that look suspicious, please do not hesitate to reach out to Rosalind or any of the Vice-Chairs to verify if an email is legitimate.

We are very sorry for any confusion or inconvenience this has caused, and we hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

The Lancaster County Democratic Party completely denounces the disgusting assassination attempt on Donald Trump earlier today. Any form of political violence is absolutely unacceptable.
Our differences are what make our nation great, and no person should ever need to fear for their safety due to political extremists. We are sincerely grateful that former President Trump will be ok, and we wish him a swift recovery.
