Lancaster Citizen Police Academy Alumni Assn. Classes are offered every two years. After graduation dues are $12.00 a year. Classes are conducted every two years!

The purpose for which this non-profit Association was formed, is to bring together graduates of the Lancaster Citizens Police Academy, to improve relations between the police department and the civilian community in all phases of law enforcement activities, and to further the goals and objectives of the Lancaster Police Department.

The D.A.R.E. Golf Outing has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, with registration at 8:00 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.

All registered golfers should have already been contacted with the updated information. If you have not been contacted, please reach out to Officer Jones #1429 at 740-687-6680, extension 4517, as soon as possible.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding and look forward to seeing you on the course!

The Lancaster Police Department is currently conducting police operations in the area of 216 Witte Street as part of the ongoing investigation. Members from the Lancaster Police Department Special Response Team (SRT) are responding to the scene.

The public is asked to avoid the area and not attempt to enter the affected area. There will be an increased police presence while officers continue to work.

Witte Street, Pine Street, and Center Street will be closed in the area. Officers will be present to assist with school pickup traffic. Additional information regarding school pickup procedures will be released by Lancaster City Schools.
