Please DO NOT call payroll asking when retro and bonus checks will be ready. We will let you know as soon as checks are ready.

Dear Members,

We met with the superintendent and the business department today and just got finished (3:15 PM). The goal was to try to reconcile budget numbers and projected expenditures. We think we reached common understanding and will return to the table Thursday, November 17.

Please enjoy the evening with your families and do not plan to attend the board meeting.

Thank you for being prepared and for being patient. I know you’ve been waiting for an update but we had to finish this meeting first. This meeting was NOT a negotiation session and was an extra meeting that took us away from school again.

We appreciate your support and passion and you all are absolutely the reason that we work so hard.

Please wear your TAL shirts on Thursday and send pictures to Gina or me so we can feel your spirit, solidarity, and support.

TAL is open to supporting ANY candidate who supports students and teachers. 27th Congressional District Candidate Christy Smith took the time to respond on the record to TAL President Gina Whipple’s requests. Mike Garcia ignored requests, including a text request. Thank you to all candidates who support teachers and kids.
