Narcotics Detection K9, Baron, completed his chemotherapy treatments last week. His final check-up was yesterday. We celebrated his clinical remission with a party with canine oncologist Dr. “K,” and the staff at F.E.T.C.H. Veterinary Clinic in Bonita Springs, FL. We are so grateful for the care that Baron received during the past four months. He has been in clinical remission since his first round of chemotherapy. He is doing great.

We will head back to Ohio this week and begin a low dose, maintenance form of chemotherapy and work with an oncologist in the Columbus area for blood work and monthly check ups. Baron will resume his detection work as soon as we return to Ohio. 

The goal now is to see how long he will stay in remission. Please continue to pray for Baron.

We are in Myrtle Beach, SC this week for the Hold the Line Police K9 Training Seminar, two full days of exceptional educational sessions by the most respected trainers and professionals in our industry.

K9 Baron is in Southwest Florida for a few weeks for some training and R&R. This clover is called “Florida Snow.”

We’re in New Braunfels, TX this week for training and Narcotics Certification by Dogs for Law Enforcement (DLE). More than 30 K9 teams from across Texas are participating in realistic training scenarios to sharpen their patrol and detection skills.

Twenty-three years ago today, 246 people were preparing for their morning flights.

2,606 people were preparing for work.

343 firefighters were preparing for their morning shift.

60 police officers were preparing for morning patrol.

8 paramedics were preparing for the morning shift.

None of them were alive by 10:00 a.m. on this day 23 years ago today.

Today we remember and honor the lives taken and the surviving family members of those who were killed on September 11th, 23 years ago today.

Instead of sniffing out narcotics at correctional facilities and halfway houses, K9’s Baron and Max took off Saturday morning to sniff the wild flowers on some nearby nature trails while getting in a three-mile walk.

A client in a Columbus area halfway house thought he would hide his ma*****na in the center console of the recliner from which he watches TV, but K9 Baron said, “Nope.”

K9 Baron aced his training exercise this morning at Eastern Ohio Correctional Center sniffing out target odor in a dorm room from the hallway by taking advantage of the airflow escaping from the door seams. K9’s Baron and Max tag teamed the entire facility and cleared it in 90 minutes. Great job, Boys!

A morning hike with K9’s Baron and Max at one of our local nature preserves. A relaxing way to spend a weekend morning before hitting the road next week for more narcotics sniffs.

K9’s Meli and Snitch were in Allen County this morning sniffing out illegal narcotics and making our client’s facility safer. We are helping correctional facilities, halfway houses and residential treatment programs maintain a healthy environment.
