📣 Price Family Updates: Pick-Up, Toys, Bus Safety & Closure Hearings
Hello, Price Families! Please review these reminders to keep students safe and focused on learning.
🚗 Afternoon Pick-Up | 3:15–3:35 p.m.
340 South West End Avenue
Recent incidents involving drivers not following procedures have created safety concerns. From South West End Avenue, turn onto Fourth Street, then right onto Rider Avenue. Pull forward to Rider and Maple. Staff will es**rt students to cars one at a time.
➡️ After pickup, continue STRAIGHT on Rider Avenue. Do NOT turn right onto Maple because of bus traffic. Please follow staff directions and be patient.
🧸 Toys & Personal Belongings
Leave toys and valuables home unless staff request or approve them. The school is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
🚫 The district prohibits “squishy dumpling,” “squishy bun,” and similar toys containing liquid, gel, beads, glitter, or unknown substances.
Staff will ask students to put distracting items away. Continued distractions may result in staff holding the item and contacting families about its return. Prohibited items require parent/guardian pickup. Approved sensory supports will follow the student’s IEP, 504 Plan, or behavior support plan.
🚌 Bus Safety
Students must be responsible, respectful, and safe:
💺 Stay seated in assigned seats while the bus moves.
✅ Follow driver directions and use respectful language.
🤝 Keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves.
🚌 Keep all body parts inside.
🔇 No shouting, throwing objects, or distracting the driver.
Supports may include reteaching, seat changes, and family meetings. Depending on severity and repeated violations, consequences may include in-school, out-of-school, or transportation suspension under district procedures. Please reinforce expectations and share concerns or support needs.
