The Pennsylvania Center for Civic & Community Engagement

The Pennsylvania Center for Civic & Community Engagement The Pennsylvania Center for Civic & Community Engagement strives to create a generation of Americans, both politically and socially, aware and active.

Founded to establish and develop civic engagement among the citizenry and to promote and encourage political activism in the political processes on the local, state and federal levels. The Pennsylvania Center was also founded to instill community action in response to the issues that affect our everyday lives through education, raising awareness and grassroots efforts. The Center stresses public s

cholarship on public policy in order to better educate the people we serve on the many diverse issues in the political and social landscapes. More specifically, The Center seeks to raise awareness on public policy issues that affect the citizens on the local, state and federal levels. In addition, the Center strives to foster local community interaction as the communities we live in possess the most impact on our daily lives. Through the work of our various departments within the Center, the diverse needs of the community can be properly researched and expounded upon. Furthermore, policy proposals and civic action can then take place through the resulting research and our grassroots methodology. The Pennsylvania Center for Civic & Community Engagement is comprised of five departments; the Department of Civic Responsibility & Engagement, the Department of Community Awareness, the Department of Public Research, the Department of Policy Impact and the Department of Community & Organizational Affairs, which alongside the Office for Planned Giving & Gifts, strive tirelessly to deliver the Center's mission to the communities we serve.
