Lancaster ISD’s Budget Committee meeting brought learning and teamwork together in a fun and competitive way! 💰📊🎉

To help committee members better understand the ins and outs of the district’s budget process, our Finance Team created an interactive game of “Zonk” that turned budget discussions into an engaging learning experience. From funding priorities to financial planning, participants tested their knowledge while working together and having fun along the way.

Thank you to our Finance Team for finding creative ways to make budget learning meaningful and engaging for our committee members as we continue planning for the future of Lancaster ISD!

It is winning season in Tiger Land and history has been made in Austin this weekend for Lancaster High School Fine Arts! 🏅🎹🎶

Congratulations to Lancaster High School Junior, Oscar Garza, who earned the first Division I rating and gold medal in school history for piano at the UIL Solo and Ensemble State Competition! Oscar performed Waltz, Op. 69 No. 2 in B Minor and is officially bringing home the gold! Lancaster ISD Piano Instructor, Kevin Hawkins, shared that Oscar has played the piano since fourth grade and prepared for two months to perfect his performance. Way to go, Oscar! 🥇👏🏾

We are also proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our talented students:�🎶 Choir students Jaydon Reynolds and Emma Cardenas each earned Division II ratings and silver medals for their UIL state solo performances. 🥈👏🏾🎤

✨ Senior band twirlers Leyiah Hamilton (Orange)and Chloe Reed (Blue) also earned Division II ratings for their twirling solos. 👏🏾🎶

Congratulations to all of our students for representing Lancaster ISD on the state level with excellence, pride, and Tiger spirit! 🐯

Our Board of Trustees officially welcomed new District 7 Trustee Dr. LaShonda Reid and swore in returning trustees Daryle Clewis and Ty G. Jones during Thursday evening’s board meeting.

We thank former trustee Kendall Smith for his service and dedication to Lancaster ISD and look forward to the continued leadership of our Board of Trustees as they serve our students, staff, and community. 🧡🐯

Tonight's board meeting was a showcase of amazing achievements in our district:

💰We recognized five seniors who have been selected as recipients of the Toyota Leadership Academy Scholarship which supports students who demonstrate leadership, financial need, and a commitment to higher education.

✨ Lancaster Centennial Lions club awarded Jamaree Thomas $500 scholarship. His selection was based on him having more than 500 hours of community service and being an outstanding member of the LHS Culinary department.

🏆 Lancaster High School earned the Dallas County Promise Economic Mobility Award which recognizes K-12 districts and high schools reaching high levels of achievement or growth in TSI assessment and college enrollment.

🎓 We recognized the top 25 seniors of the class of 2026 for their accomplishments throughout their high school journey.

🏅We also recognized Lancaster HS varsity athletic teams for completing their 2025-2026 seasons! We’re of our student-athletes and their performance during the season!

🔖 We also recognized 16 Lancaster ISD employees that earned a STEM certification from Howard University through Lancaster ISD’s partnership with 21stCenturyEd

🏆Also, we recognized our District Staff and Department of the Year that have been selected for the 2026 paraprofessional, rookie teacher, teacher, employee, instructional employee, and department of the Year. Congratulations to this awesome group of educators!

⭐️ We also recognized 15 Lancaster ISD teachers who have been selected to receive Teacher Incentive Allotments. This designation reflects their dedication to excellence in instruction, student growth, and overall impact in the classroom. Congratulations to our wonderful educators!

📝Lancaster ISD Human Resources presented recent Lancaster High School graduates who will major in education in college with a letter of intent guaranteeing them a teaching position when they graduate with their degree. We're looking forward to welcoming these Tigers back to Lancaster ISD in a few years! 🧡

Mrs. Robinson brings more than 20 years of educational leadership experience and a deep commitment to student success, instructional excellence, and supporting educators. Throughout her career in Lancaster ISD, she has served as an Academic Coordinator, Assistant Principal, and Master Teacher, helping lead initiatives that positively impact students and campuses across the district.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Robinson as she begins this exciting new chapter at Pleasant Run Elementary! 🧡📚
