Looking for a new #2!

After over 30 years of working together, Curt Hankinson is planning to retire from The Mithoff Companies sometime in the near future. He has been one of the best, most consistent, talented people that i have had the pleasure of working with. Curt was the project lead man on virtually every recent project that we have done the last 10 years. The Mithoff building, The Mill, The Thimmes Building, Hillbilly Heaven transformation, The Carriage House, Etc. Etc.

Several years ago we hired Zack Wilks to start training under Curt, knowing that retirement would be coming for Curt. Zack is now prepared to take the lead as the number one guy when Curt finally decides to retire. With the start of the very large remodel of the old Tiberios building at 121 West Main Street, downtown, we need to hire a new guy to start training to be the new number 2! Are you, or someone you know, that guy? We offer competitive pay, consistent work, 401K retirement, paid vacation, paid holidays, potential truck. This is a real job, not a cash under the table type construction job, like so many of the others. You will be a full-time employee, not a subcontractor. You will get a real paycheck with taxes taken out. If interested, or have questions, you can email Brad at [email protected] or text 740-808-0053, or Charlie Mansfield at [email protected]

You can send resume if interested to both Brad and Charlie.

Update on 121 W Main St (former Tiberios):

We are working on it, I promise! I know it may seem like there has been no progress on the building, and that is somewhat accurate, but not completely. I went in and tore out some of the floors that had been added so we could get a feel for some upper level areas. This building has many challenges due to its size and shape, but our team of professionals have been working hard and last week we got a preliminary approval from the plans examiner to move forward.

The team working on this consists of Matt Brady, who will own and operate the restaurant, Curtis Weaver with Solid 5 Design, Nick Palladino with VPL Architects, and my right hand man, Charlie Mansfield with The Mithoff Companies. We believe the design is pretty well finished and you can see some renderings attached here of what to expect.

When i say this building will be nothing like any other in Downtown Lancaster, I am not kidding! It is going to be amazing. I think we will start actual construction work sometime in June, which means construction dumpsters in the street (SORRY) and construction trucks coming and going. We apologize in advance for these inconveniences. I would anticipate a spring 2027 completion.

Stay tuned, we are excited to bring you another dining option downtown.

121 West Main Street (AKA the old Tiberios building)

🔨 Phase 1 of the project, Asbestos removal and interior tear out is complete. Attached are some pics of the inside of the building shell that we will be starting with. Essentially everything will be brand new except for the brick walls and some wood floor framing.

👷‍♂️ We will be working with the designer-architect to come up with the new layout. Stay tuned!

207 South Broad

We are coming to completion on the renovations at 207 South Broad Street for our good friends John and Patti Smith. We believe the project is a success and the final product very nice. This is yet another example of what an old, tired, downtown building can look like with the right vision, planning, creativity, and of course investment. We gutted this building down to the bare shell and started over. Everything is new except the shell.

Thank you to all of the contractors who helped bring this building to the finish line. A special thank you to my Mithoff guys, Charlie, Curt, and Zack for all your efforts and labor to create the finished product. Tenants will be moving in at the end of the month. One more downtown building checked off of the TO DO list.

🎉What a Party!

📸 I want to thank everyone who attended the Throwback 80’s 90’s Party last night at The Mill. It was yet again, a great time. I want to thank my amazing staff who always does a fantastic job making sure everyone feels welcome and are well taken care of at The Mill. They work hard to make sure the room is set up and ready for the party, spending time decorating and creating the photo backdrops that people use. Clearly the Photo Booth backdrop was a success, as there was a line most of the night for people waiting to get their picture taken in front of it.

🎧To DJ CZAR and his team, WOW! We could not ask for a better DJ for this event. They bring the lights, sound, fog, toilet paper machine, and the beats. They are one of the main reasons this event is always a success. Hopefully we already have them booked for the 2026 Throwback Party.

🍕Thank you to the staff and delivery driver of Cristy’s Pizza. Chris and the team at Cristy’s are always ready to help bring the pies to feed the old people who have been dancing and need food!

😎 To all of the guests who attended last nights party, Thank you for coming and spending the evening with us. When I look around the room I see so many people that are smiling, laughing, and just plain having fun. At 52 years old, when I am at this party every year it makes me feel like I am in my 20’s again, and I think it does the same for so many other people. There are many people, including myself, the Mill staff, DJ CZAR that look forward to this party all year. Now we start to plan 2026.

❤️ I want to thank my beautiful, patient wife, who for the last 6 weeks has put up with me playing 80’s and 90’s music every chance I get. In the car, in the house, in the garage, nonstop. And also for going with me to the old people party. It wouldn’t be the same without her beside me.

⚡️If you are between the ages of 30 and 60, and you have not yet attended this throwback party, you really should clear your schedule early for the 2026 party. We did not charge a cover this year and I have made the decision that this will be a free event going forward. If you did attend last night and you have pictures that you would like to share, we would love to see them. Thanks again to everyone, guests and staff, great party.

🎲 Brad and friends are inviting you to join them at The Mill for the annual 80’s-90’s throwback party. This is, according to Brad , the best older people party all year in Lancaster. Some, including Brad, anxiously await this party every year, after years of success. This year there is no cover charge to get in and no ticket needed. Don’t delay though, as the capacity at The Mill is 250 when you consider the outstanding DJ setup that CZER brings with him, including lighting, additional speakers and the Originial, old school toilet paper blower! CZER is one of the original DJ’s from Desert Rose, and he brings the 80’s and 90’s dance music alive, which requires room for a fairly large dance floor.

💿 There is no theme this year, other than Throwback Party. Of course 80’s and 90’s outfits are encouraged, but not required. Remember, the Guess jeans, Adidas track suits, parachute pants, big hair, etc. if you are going to dance and party to 80’s and 90’s music, you might as well dress the part. We will have some snack food for later in the evening, as old people, we need that. This is included at no charge also. Consider it a donation to your fun night out by Brad and his friends. There will be plenty of seating so that you can rest between boogie sessions. If you are say, between the ages of 30 and 60, this is not a party you want to miss. Of course anyone over 21 years of age is welcome. So mark your calendars for Saturday, November 8th and plan to come dance the night away at The Mill with Brad and his friends. Doors open at 7, and the party ends at midnight.
