The June Map of the Month features the cemeteries of Fairfield County.

This map represents one of the most comprehensive cemetery mapping projects ever completed for Fairfield County. Through extensive research using historical records, mapping software, books, and on-site fieldwork, we were able to identify and document cemeteries throughout the county.

In addition to mapping cemetery locations, the project also includes estimates of the total number of cemeteries in the county, identifies cemeteries with alternate names, highlights those that have been lost over time, and provides many other interesting facts and insights.

All photographs featured in the project were taken by the GIS Team.
