Our Christmas assistance is now closed but you may still apply to receive a Charity Newsies Food Box. Application is located on our website. We do not accept applications through social media.

As a reminder, you can not apply for Christmas toy/gift assistance through multiple agencies.

In 2025, our team made more than 77,000 referrals connecting neighbors with food, housing, utility assistance, mental health care, and more. Later this fall, you'll have a special chance to help us continue that work.

Fairfield County 211 plans to take part in a 36-hour community giving event, and donations made during that window may be eligible for a matching gift.

We'll share official dates, details, and giving instructions here soon, along with stories of the neighbors your support helps reach.

As an independent nonprofit, we offer much more than our name might suggest. In addition to connecting callers to resources, our team offers several programs:

🔹 A 24/7 Mental Health Crisis Line
🔹 School clothing assistance for preschool through twelfth grade
🔹 Eyeglass assistance in partnership with the Lions Club
🔹 Project HouseCall, which coordinates housing resources for people working to regain or keep stable housing
🔹 Representative payee services for more than 100 clients
🔹 Free outreach education and community resource presentations

If a household is facing a utility shutoff, we may be able to connect them with payment assistance, weatherization programs, or discounted internet and phone options.
