Earlier this week, SRO Maute, Lt. Giza, and Assistant Chief Ziders of the Lancaster Police Department had the pleasure of visiting Mr. Abrahamโ€™s Government classes to speak with students about a variety of policing and public safety topics.

The conversation was driven by thoughtful student questions and covered a wide range of issues, including policing and mental health, e-bikes and traffic safety, speeding enforcement, underage drinking parties and the legal responsibilities of parents, as well as some memorable experiences from our careers in law enforcement.

We appreciate the students for their engagement, curiosity, and willingness to participate in meaningful discussions about the role of policing in our community. Opportunities like these help strengthen relationships, increase understanding, and provide valuable insight into the questions and concerns of young people.

Thank you to Mr. Abraham for the invitation and to the students for making the discussion both enjoyable and informative. We value our relationship with Lancaster Schools and the opportunity to connect with our community and look forward to future conversations.
