The Central Ohio Regional Prevention Council (CORPC) works to guide regional prevention efforts by identifying community needs, addressing service gaps, and helping direct funding and programs that support healthier communities across the region.

Sarah Fortner joined the board in 2022 after being appointed by the County Commissioners, bringing Fairfield County’s voice to the table. In November 2024, she was appointed Chair, continuing her leadership in strengthening prevention efforts across the region.

Fairfield County has received a $1 million state grant to help clean up a contaminated petroleum site in Bremen and transform it into a future public recreation space. This investment will support environmental remediation efforts while creating new opportunities for community use and enjoyment once the site is restored.

Fairfield County leaders recently met with Jonas Peterson, Chief Economic Development Officer and President of One Columbus; Joe Henderson, Director of Existing Industry at One Columbus; and Camryn Reitz, Public Policy Coordinator with the Columbus Partnership, to discuss the county's economic development priorities and explore opportunities for collaboration.
