Clint Lang for Lampasas County Commissioner Pct 4

Clint Lang for Lampasas County Commissioner Pct 4 My name is Clint Lang, and I want to serve you as Precinct 4 County Commissioner. The first Lang ancestor, Jacob Lang, arrived in 1900.

My family has called this area home for seven generations, with deep roots in both the Lang and Straley families. The Straley family, my maternal ancestors, first settled in Lampasas County in 1856. My great-great-grandfather generously donated the land for the Adamsville Baptist Church and Straley Cemetery. My paternal grandfather, Ben Lang, purchased the land on County Road 3420, in the 1940s where my parents, Roland and Wanda Lang, and my family and I currently call home. My grandfather was also instrumental in building the original Rumley Bridge over the Lampasas River. The Lang and Straley families are deeply rooted in this county, and I am proud to carry forward that legacy. I was born in Lampasas, but at the age of two, my father’s work took our family to Austin, where we lived for 27 years. In 2013, my wife, Amanda, and I returned to Lampasas to raise our children. In 2019, my life took a difficult turn when my wife lost a year-long battle with cancer, leaving me a widower with school-aged children. My faith and family guided me through this grief, and in October 2021, I married my current wife, Wendy. Together, we are blessed with eight children and two grandchildren. All but one of our adult children currently live in Lampasas County. Also in 2021, motivated by a desire for personal growth, I pursued the completion of my college degree. Three years later, at the age of 57, I graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration. I am an active member of Lampasas First Baptist Church, where I have previously served on the Property and Space Committee and currently assist in the children’s ministry through Bible Fellowship and Vacation Bible School. I have proudly served the Lampasas Independent School District for the past eight years as the District Locksmith, managing responsibilities that require attention to detail, accountability, and service to all employees. Through this work, I have learned the importance of good customer service, built on transparency, follow-up, and clear communication.

Good evening,
I want to thank all my supporters who showed up to help me and vote for me during this campaign run for Pct 4 Commissioner. Tonight’s results did not turn out the way we planned for, but we can at least work on making changes in other ways. I pray that Mark Rainwater will work hard for the residents of Pct 4 during this next 4 year term.
