With the recent passing of Dolly Parton, we wanted to take a moment to honor a woman whose impact reached far beyond music and entertainment. One of her greatest legacies is Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which began in 1995 as a way to put books into the hands of children and has grown into a program that has mailed hundreds of millions of free, high-quality books to children around the world. Through the Imagination Library, children from birth to age five can receive a free book every month, regardless of their family’s income. We are proud that Lamont families have the opportunity to participate in this wonderful program. If you have a child from birth to age five, contact or stop by the Lamont Public Library to learn more about signing up or use the link show in the image.
Dolly’s love of books and children will continue to make a difference for generations to come.
