Have you ever seen a missing person case in the news and thought, "I wish there was something I could do to help?"

Lambertville New Hope Search & Rescue is looking for volunteers to join our team.

While our K9s often get the attention, every successful search depends on the people working alongside them. Ground searchers assist our K9 teams during training and search operations, help locate clues, navigate search areas, and play a critical role in bringing missing people home.

You do not need to own a dog to get involved. We provide the training and will teach skills such as navigation, clue awareness, wilderness survival, first aid, and search techniques.

The dogs may be the stars of the show, but they still rely on a team of humans to get the job done.🐾

We're looking for volunteers who are 18 or older (younger members may participate with an adult), have reliable transportation, enjoy being outdoors, and have a reasonable level of fitness. Search and rescue involves a lot of walking, often over uneven terrain and in all kinds of weather.

Team members train on the second and fourth Sunday of each month and complete both online and in-person training in skills such as wilderness survival, first aid, navigation using GPS and map and compass, clue awareness, and search techniques.
