As with any construction or remodeling project, there can be unexpected hiccups along the way. While these have slowed progress at the city pool, the end result will be a pool deck and equipment designed to serve our community for many years to come.

We are currently waiting for an electrical inspection while continuing preparations for cement work. Unfortunately, this means the pool opening will be delayed.

We appreciate your patience and understanding and will continue to keep everyone updated as progress is made.

Residents are invited to attend a joint town hall meeting with State Senator Gary Dahms and State Representative Paul Torkelson on Wednesday, May 27 at Lamberton City Hall.

🕜 Time: 1:30 – 2:15 p.m.
📍 Location: Lamberton City Hall
112 2nd Avenue West, Lamberton

This will be the final town hall series for Senator Dahms and Representative Torkelson, who are not seeking re-election after many years of service to our area communities.

The meeting is an opportunity to:

🌳 Friendly Reminder from the City of Lamberton 🌳
As planting season continues, please remember the City’s Chapter 12 ordinance regarding trees and shrubs:

• No person shall plant trees or large shrubs in the boulevard or public right-of-way.
• Trees and large shrubs must remain at least 3 feet away from property lines.

Before planting, please take a moment to plan ahead and make sure your landscaping meets ordinance requirements. If you have questions about planting locations, contact City Hall before starting your project.

🌿 City of Lamberton – Lawn & Grass Ordinance Reminder (Ordinance 126) 🌿

As we head into mowing season, this is a friendly reminder to help keep our community clean, safe, and looking its best.

Please keep the following in mind:

• Grass height requirement: Grass and weeds must be mowed before they reach 10 inches in height.
• No grass clippings in streets: Please do not blow or deposit grass clippings into streets, curbs, or gutters.

While it may seem minor, grass clippings in the street create real problems. They can quickly clog storm drains and basins, leading to standing water and drainage issues during rain events. They also create a slippery surface in the roadway, which can be a serious safety hazard for motorcycles, bicycles, and other vehicles, increasing the risk of skidding or loss of control.

This is not just a nuisance—it is unlawful under City Ordinance 126.

As summer activities pick up, please remember the City’s parking ordinance regarding trailers and recreational vehicles:

• Trailers and similar vehicles may not be parked on any street, highway, or right-of-way for more than 168 continuous hours (7 days).

• Recreational vehicles (RVs, campers, motorhomes, etc.) may not be parked on any street or right-of-way for more than 168 continuous hours (7 days), and may not be occupied as living quarters while parked there.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping keep our streets safe, accessible, and looking their best for all residents and visitors. If you have questions, please contact City Hall.
