All week long, we’re recognizing some of the incredible DSPs who make a difference across PPCH. Today, we’re celebrating Roxanne Rivera from SustainAbility!
Roxanne is known for her professionalism, reliability, positive attitude, and the genuine care she brings to the individuals she supports. She works alongside her group in the community, helps create meaningful volunteer experiences, and makes room for fun, learning, and choice along the way.
Her coworkers describe her as someone who is always willing to help and who brings dedication and care to everything she does.
Thank you, Roxanne, for everything you bring to PPCH and SustainAbility Recycling

DSP Recognition Week starts this Sunday, September 13!
All week long, we’ll be celebrating the Direct Support Professionals who help make inclusion, independence, connection, and choice possible every day.
DSPs bring patience, creativity, and care to countless moments that matter, often in ways most people never see.
To all of our PPCH DSPs: we see you, we appreciate you, and we can’t wait to celebrate you next week.

Learning trust, patience, and connection in a whole new way! 🐴❤️‍🩹
PPCH foster parents recently took part in the Leader of the Herd training at Groundwork Ranch, where they worked one-on-one with horses that have experienced trauma or neglect.
The experience gave foster parents a hands-on way to practice skills they use every day: reading cues, building trust, staying flexible, and creating a sense of safety.
A huge thank you to for this unique training and to the Indigo Oak Fund for generously sponsoring the experience for our foster families!

Kerry and Josh Polland show the heart of foster care through compassion, resilience, and steady love.
In 2025 alone, they provided a safe and nurturing home for 14 children, including children with complex needs.
Their care extends beyond each placement, as they build respectful relationships with biological families and support connection, healing, and reunification whenever possible.
Thank you, Kerry and Josh, for opening your home and making such a meaningful difference for children and families.

August is Family Fun month! And family can have many different meanings. For some, family means parents, children, siblings, or relatives. For others, it may include foster families, Host Home Providers, caregivers, friends, housemates, coworkers, or the people who have become a trusted part of everyday life.

Across our programs, homes, workplaces, and communities, people form relationships that create connection, support, and belonging. Those relationships may look different from one person to the next, and that is part of what makes our community strong.

Choosing a foster care agency can make a real difference in a family’s experience.
Ashley, a PPCH foster parent, knows that firsthand. Her family has worked with three different child placement agencies and has experience caring for children with significant medical, developmental, and behavioral needs.
Her words about PPCH mean a great deal to us:
“PPCH never made us feel like we were doing this work alone.”

Thank you, Ashley, for sharing your experience and for the care your family has provided to children who need it.
