Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District (ACBID) landscape management on Alameda is ongoing in the winter with weekly trash pickups by our contractor LMI. Due to the very dry conditions, LMI is also doing some winter tree watering to protect our many young trees in accordance with forestry standards. We are monitoring conditions on a weekly basis.
Landscape maintenance funded in full by ACBID at present.

It’s late summer and native grass mowing by our contractor(LMI Colorado) continues this week. The Blue Grama and Little Bluestem sections will be left until fall cleanup time in late October. These areas continue to provide important habitat for pollinators through the late summer and early autumn.

Our blue grama grass loves the hot weather! Blue grama is a drought resistant, warm season perennial grass native to North America and is Colorado's official state grass.

ACBID carefully manages blue grama on the Alameda corridor with 2 annual mowings -early spring and fall.

Seeding a new wildflower garden in front of Easter Seals on Alameda today. Thanks to Alexandra Schmitt of LMI Colorado and John Cobb with Lakewood Public Works for helping get this done.

Several weeks ago LMI installed Netafim drip irrigation tubes. Today we seeded the area with low grow wildflower mix and covered the seed with a layer of coconut erosion control mesh.
We should see wildflowers begin to pop up by late July!
