LCC Winter Salon taking applications now

The Lakewood Cultural Center is inviting artists to submit original, 2D artwork for its annual exhibition and holiday art market, running Nov. 6, 2026 through Jan. 2, 2027. Inspired by 19th-century French salons, this exhibition showcases small-scale 2-D pieces across a wide range of traditional and contemporary mediums. Submissions are accepted online via Café through Oct. 22 for up to three entries per artist, with pieces restricted to 3 feet or smaller in any direction. Selected artwork must be hand-delivered to the Cultural Center during the week of Oct. 26, and unsold pieces will be available for pickup in early January 2027.

Audiences can get acquainted with Stella Heath’s influences and musical approach through a “Five Things to Know About Stella Heath” feature by SF JAZZ before her upcoming appearance at the Lakewood Cultural Center. The show brings listeners into the golden era of jazz, where Billie Holiday’s influence shaped a generation. After exploring the article, audiences can return to secure tickets for an evening of swing, storytelling and the brassy sound of a standout band.

Lakewood Cultural Center will be closed Aug. 24- Sept. 5 (and Sept. 7 for Labor Day)

We will be closed for annual maintenance but you can still buy tickets to performances. The box office will remain open for walk-up and phone sales Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The Center will also be closed for Labor Day, September 7.
