West Metro Fire Rescue Training & Event Center is located in Lakewood, Colorado approximately 15 miles southwest of Downtown Denver. The Center is a state of the art training facility for fire and emergency responders. The Center also offers meeting space for rent to the public and other public safety agencies. We can provide many services for your upcoming meeting or event.

Our dive team often responds to water rescues during the summer and ice rescues during the winter. The team also assists our law enforcement partners in recovering items- like evidence- from bodies of water.
In this training, dive team members practice searching by using a rope system to mark an area where evidence might be hiding.
You'll see that diving in Colorado's lakes is much different than what you might imagine.

What do Christmas trees have to do with ladders? In this case, the artifical trees are acting as obstacles around a structure, giving our crews some added challenges as they practice throwing ladders.

When the outbreak hit Colorado, no one really knew what to expect. To prepare, West Metro put more ambulances in service and staffed them with more firefighter/paramedics. Now, a few months into our response, we're answering fewer calls, and we're concerned that people with emergency medical needs may not be picking up the phone.
