On June 13, 2026, at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers from the Lakewood-Busti Police Department were dispatched to Cummins Engine for a report of a gunshot victim.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult female who had sustained a gunshot wound. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was transported and later airlifted to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania, for further medical treatment.

The subsequent investigation determined that the shooting incident occurred at a residence on Big Tree Road in the Town of Busti.

As a result of the investigation, Anthony V. Rivera, 20, and Alexander J. Jewell, 34, both of Jamestown, were taken into custody at a later time. It is alleged that both subjects were involved in the incident and have been charged with:

Attempted Assault in the First Degree
Assault in the First Degree
Criminal Possession of a Weapon

Both individuals were transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment processing.

The Lakewood-Busti Police Department was assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and the Jamestown Police Department.

The investigation remains ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

🚨 TRAFFIC ADVISORY – VILLAGE OF LAKEWOOD CLASSIC CAR SHOW 🚨

Attention Village residents and visitors:
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the Village of Lakewood will be hosting its Hoods Up Classic Car Show from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

To prepare for participants and ensure a safe and successful event, the Village will implement temporary parking restrictions beginning at 8:00 AM on June 20, 2026.

We respectfully request that all vehicles be removed from the areas highlighted in red on the attached map. Parking restrictions will be in effect on:
• Chautauqua Avenue from the intersection of E. Terrace Avenue to E. Summit Avenue
• Chautauqua Avenue from E. Summit Avenue to 2nd Street

Please note that the intersection of Chautauqua Avenue and Summit Avenue will remain open for eastbound and westbound traffic and is highlighted in yellow on the attached map.

The areas highlighted in red will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event hours.

The no-parking areas on East and West Terrace Avenue in front of the park will be reserved for food truck vendors participating in the event.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we host this community event. Please plan accordingly and use alternate parking and travel routes if necessary.

May 2026 Summary Arrest:

5/1/26: Clinton Carter, 55, of Lakewood was charged with Criminal Mischief 4th on 5/1/26 following a road rage incident. It is alleged that following a road rage incident, Carter kicked another car causing damage to that car. Carter was issued an appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

5/5/26: Maria Sams, 32, of Jamestown was charged one count of Petit Larceny on 5/5/26. It is alleged that Sams was taking food off of the shelves and eating it while shopping. Sams never paid for the $8.26 worth of food that was consumed. Sams was issued an appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

5/5/26: Trista Hammond, 24, of Jamestown was charged with one count of Petit Larceny and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child on 5/5/26. . It is alleged that Hammond was taking food off of the shelves and eating it while shopping. Hammond never paid for the $5.00 worth of food that was consumed. Hammond was issued an appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

5/5/26: Danielle Miller, 39, of Randolph was charged with Grand Larceny 4th, Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, and Identity Theft 3rd on 5/5/26. It is alleged that on 4/10/26, Miller found a credit card in the JC Penny’s dressing room. Miller then used the card to purchase $19.00 in clothing. Miller was issued an appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

5/6/26: Jaydon Work, 19, of Celoron was charged with Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent/Physically Disabled Person on 5/6/26. It is alleged that on 5/4/26, Work threw a cup at the head of a disabled person while working for the Resource Center. Work was issued an appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

5/11/26: Megan Jones, 31, of Ashville turned herself in on a Failure to Appear warrant out of the Town of Busti Court on 5/11/26. The warrant was for a charge on 7/16/21. Jones was processed and released to appear in the Town of Busti Court at a later time.

5/11/26: Ann Hannold, 48, 0f Jamestown was arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant out of the Town of Busti Court on 5/11/26. Hannold failed to appear on a charge on 1/30/26. Hannold was again issued an appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

5/12/26: David Attard, 64, of Busti was charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and one count of Harassment 2nd on 5/12/26. It is alleged that Attard was verbally and physically abusive towards two minors. Attard was arrested on a Town of Busti Warrant and later released to reappear in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

5/12/26: Maryann Attard, 62, of Busti was charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child on 5/12/26. It is alleged that Attard failed to intervene in harassment of minors. Attard was arrested on a Town of Busti Warrant and later released to reappear in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

5/12/26: Amanda Kimpel, 44, of Bemus Point was charged with Menacing 3rd, Stalking 4th, and unlawful Imprisonment 2nd following a Town of Busti warrant ex*****on on 5/12/26. It is alleged that on 3/4/26, Kimpel went to the Lakewood Laundromat and confronted the victim by pinning her against a wall using a table and making threats to the victim. Kimpel was transported to the County Jail for arraignment.

5/15/26: Michelle Pattison, 54, of Cassadaga was charged with Felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, Destroying Physical Evidence, Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd, Public Health Law controlled substance in non-original container, and operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance and multiple other vehicle and traffic violations. It is alleged that on 5/15/26, Pattison was stopped for a traffic infraction. During investigation, Pattison was in possession of approximately 15.36 grams of Methamphetamine, controlled substance pills outside of their original containers, and equipment used for drug use. Pattison was issued multiple traffic citations and due to bail reform, was released with an appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

5/18/26: Tammy Hagga, 43, of Jamestown turned herself in on a Failure to Appear Arrest Warrant out of the Town of Busti Court on 5/18/26. Hagga failed to appear in court after being issued an appearance ticket for another charge on 1/30/26. Hagga was again given an appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court at a later time.

5/20/26: Jesse Wolfgang, 39, of Warren turned himself in on a Failure to Appear Bench Warrant out of the Town of Busti Court on 5/20/26. Wolfgang Failed to appear in court for another charge on 1/11/2016. Wolfgang was issued an appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court at a later time.

5/21/26: Emmanuel Molina-Nazario, 40, of Jamestown was charged with Menacing a Police Officer (Felony), Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest on 5/21/26. It is alleged that Molina-Nazario was destroying property in the Lakewood Walmart. Upon officer’s arrival, Molina-Nazario was given verbal commands by responding officer, which he failed to comply and pulled out a knife and threatened officers. Molina-Nazario was taken into custody and transported to the County Jail for arraignment. The amount of damage caused in the store totaled $2,240.84.

5/20/26: Michael Larimer, 39, of Ashville was charged as a Fugitive from Justice on 5/20/26. Larimer was in the Town of Busti court for another matter when it was discovered that he was wanted out of the state of Florida. Larimer was remanded to the County Jail for extradition to the state of Florida.

5/29/26: Andre Taylor, 37, of Jamestown was charged with one count of Petit Larceny. It is alleged that while an employee of the Lakewood Walmart, Taylor stole property while working on multiple dates. The total of all property taken was $163.88.

5/30/26: Michael Cook, 53, of Jamestown was charged with on a Failure to Appear Bench Warrant out of the Town of Busti Court. Cook failed to appear to court on a charge from 12/24/25. Cook was arraigned in the County Jail and will appear in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

All subjects listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty

On May 23, 2026, at approximately 8:45 a.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a possible body located along the shoreline near the Stow Ferry in the Town of North Harmony. Deputies, with assistance from the Chautauqua County Coroner’s Office and the Lakewood-Busti Police Department, investigated the incident.
The Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified the individual as Daniel “Scott” Emmerson, 64, of Lakewood, NY. Emmerson had previously been reported missing to the Lakewood-Busti Police Department on March 5, 2026.
The investigation determined that Emmerson drove his Ford F-150 pickup truck onto Chautauqua Lake on March 4, 2026, traveling north on the ice before the vehicle broke through near the I-86 bridge. The truck was later located by dive teams on March 16, 2026, and recovered from the lake on March 20, 2026

On Thursday, May 21st, 2026, the Lakewood-Busti Police Department responded to the Lakewood Walmart for a report of a subject destroying property inside the store. Upon officers’ arrival, several damaged items were located throughout the store. Officers were then directed to the alleged suspect responsible for the damage, which totaled approximately $2,240.84.

The subject was later identified as Emmanuel Molina-Nazario, 40, of Jamestown, NY, and was located on the grocery side of the store. LBPD officers confronted Molina-Nazario and issued verbal commands for him to stop. It is alleged that Molina-Nazario then pulled out a knife and threatened officers. Molina-Nazario subsequently put the knife away and attempted to flee the scene.

Molina-Nazario was taken into custody without further incident. He was charged with Menacing a Police Officer (Felony), Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest. Molina-Nazario was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

On April 5, 2026, damage was caused to property at Lakewood Beach. The Lakewood-Busti Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals shown in the attached videos.

April Summary Arrests:

4/3/26: Teresa M. Chevalier, 50, of Lakewood, was charged with Assault 2nd, Menacing 2nd, Endangering the welfare of a physically disabled person, and endangering the welfare of a child. Chevalier was charged with the before listed charges following a domestic related incident on 4/3/26 at around 11:07pm. Chevalier was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.

4/4/26: Cassandra A. Nickerson, 24 of Jamestown charged with Petit Larceny at around 8:39pm at the Lakewood Walmart. Alleged that Nickerson stole merchandise from the store. Nickerson was issued an appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court at a later time.

4/5/26: Aaron A. Sheldon, 31, of Jamestown was charged with two counts Criminal Contempt 1st, Stalking 4th, Harassment 2nd, and Aggravated Family Offense on 4/5/26 following a Town of Busti Warrant arrest. It is alleged that Sheldon violated an Order of Protection when he failed to stay away from the home of a female resident who had a stay away order against Sheldon. Sheldon was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

4/6/26: Stephanie K. Derby, 45, of Jamestown, was charged with Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. It is alleged that Derby stole $311.74 in store merchandise. While processing, Derby was found to be in possession of less than one gram of Methamphetamine. Derby was issued an Appearance Ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

4/8/26: Justin M. Prezenski, 31, of Sugar Grove, was charged with Petit Larceny on 4/8/26 at around 12:38pm. It is alleged that while working as an employee at the Lakewood Walmart, Prezenski, was caught stealing merchandise. Prezenski was issued an Appearance Ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court at a later time.

4/13/26: Jessica T. Spagnualo, 31, of Jamestown, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Harassment 2nd, and Endangering the welfare of a child, following a physical altercation with another subject during a child exchange at the Richard Hartley Park in Lakewood at around 8:26pm on 4/13/26. Spagnualo was issued an Appearance Ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

4/13/26: Mackenzie L. Haskins, 21, of Jamestown, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Harassment 2nd, and Endangering the welfare of a child, following a physical altercation with another subject during a child exchange at the Richard Hartley Park in Lakewood at around 8:26pm on 4/13/26. Haskins was issued an Appearance Ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

4/17/26: Douglas E. Martin, 62, of Busti, was charged with Criminal Mischief 4th, Criminal Contempt 2nd, and Harassment 2nd on 4/17/26 at around 2:55pm following a domestic incident. It is alleged that during a domestic related incident, Martin broke a cell phone and punched a female victim in the arm. Martin was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.

4/17/26: Justin Burke, 36, of Mayville, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th on 4/17/26. Burke was found to be in possession of 1.6 Grams of Fentanyl while on a traffic stop as a passenger in the Town of Busti.

4/17/26: Angela B. Peru, 32, of Jamestown, was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled substance 7th and multiple traffic infractions on 4/17/26. Peru was stopped for a traffic infraction and it was discovered that Peru’s NYS Driver’s license was suspended. While processing, Peru was found to be in possession of 1.6 Grams of Fentanyl. Later in processing, while at LBPD, Peru found to be in possession of .86 Grams of Fentanyl hidden on her persons. Peru was released with issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

4:17/26: David Koch, 38, of Jamestown, was arrested on a Town of Busti Failure to Appear Bench Warrant on 4/17/26. Koch was again released with another appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

4/18/26: Brett C. Plucinski, 36, of Dunkirk, was arrested on an active Failure to Appear Town of Busti Bench warrant on 4/18/26 at around 12:55am. Plucinski was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.

4/18/26: Ronald A. Fish, 28, of Sinclairville, was charged with unlicensed operator, aggravated unlicensed Operator 3rd, Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th on 4/18/26. Fish was stopped for an equipment violation and found to have his NYS driver’s license suspended. Fish was also alleged to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and .84 grams of Methamphetamine. Fish was issued traffic citations and released with an appearance ticket to be in the town of Busti court on a later date.

4/20/26: Jaidynn Kendricks, 26, of Jamestown, was arrested on an active Failure to Appear Town of Busti Bench Warrant on 4/20/26 at around 2:05am. Kendricks was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.

4/20/26: Nicole L. Merecki, 40, of Fredonia, was arrested on an active Failure to Appear Town of Busti Arrest Warrant on 4/20/26. Merecki was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.

4/21/26: Jonalee Perez Cruz 32, of Jamestown, was arrested for Petit Larceny and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. It is alleged that Perez Cruz stole $203.55 of merchandise at the Lakewood Walmart on 4/21/26. Perez Cruz was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

4/23/26: Meagan R. Carmona, 41, of Fredonia, was arrested on a Town of Busti warrant for Grand Larceny 3rd, Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd, and Forgery 3rd on 4/23/26. It is alleged that on 10/08/25, Carmona deposited an altered and forged check in the amount of $7,650.00 into her bank account. Carmona was released with an appearance ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

4/24/26: Alisia Vazquez, 40, of Jamestown was charged with Petit Larceny following a warrant ex*****on on 4/24/26. It is alleged that Zazquez stole a tablet belonging to the Aspire Home on an earlier date. Vazquez was issued an Appearance Ticket to be in the Town of Busti Court on a later date.

4/26/26: Douglas E. Martin, 62, of Busti, was charged with two counts of Criminal Contempt 1st on 4/26/26. It is alleged that Martin head butted a victim causing injury to the victims face. The victim had a valid stay away order against Martin at the time of incident. Martin was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

On 3/21/26 at 1:17am, Patrolmen from the Lakewood-Busti Police Department arrested Tammy L. Furlow following a traffic stop near the intersection of Chautauqua Ave. and Summit Ave. in the Village of Lakewood. Further investigation during the stop revealed that Tammy was found to be in possession of 13 small plastic baggies, each tied off and containing a white narcotic appearing substance. These substances later tested positive for Methamphetamine and He**in. Tammy was transported to LBPD for processing and later to the County Jail for Centralized Arraignment. Tammy was charged with Criminal Possession of a controlled substance 7th, 4th, and 3rd. Tammy was also charged with Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd and traffic infractions.
