This summer, when kids wear their helmets while biking, they may be rewarded by the LPD neighborhood officers!

We have partnered with University Hospitals Safe Kids/Safe Community Coalition for the Caught Being Safe program where kids riding their bikes with a helmet can receive a coupon for a free treat thanks to our local partners KB Confections, Dairy Queen, and the Doughnut Pantry.

If kids are spotted without a helmet, neighborhood officers will proved them a card containing contact information on how to receive a free helmet from the LPD.

During a short gathering yesterday, Mayor George issued a proclamation to thank Capt. Stone for his leadership, professionalism, and dedication.

We wish you all the best in retirement!
