The Township of Lakewood's Emergency Medical Services Department was established in 1979 providing emergency care to the Lakewood residents and those that travel through.

At Lakewood EMS, we know some of the toughest calls don’t end when the scene is cleared. The things first responders see and carry can stay with us long after the sirens are silent.

PTSD can affect anyone—patients, families, and first responders alike. Seeking support is a sign of strength, and no one should carry the weight alone.

To every EMT, paramedic, dispatcher, firefighter, police officer, healthcare worker, and community member navigating invisible wounds: you are seen, you are supported, and you are never alone.
