In honor of Juneteenth, all CPSD offices will be closed on Friday, June 19.

Juneteenth celebrates the revelation of the end of slavery for enslaved African Americans in west Texas who were not notified of the abolishment of slavery in January of 1863 for more than two years on June 19, 1865. This holiday marks the official end to slavery in the United States of America. Are you fluent in English and another language? Would you like to interpret for CPSD? Join us for an interpreter training class on Tuesday, June 30, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.!

All CPSD interpreters must complete our district’s interpreter training. ALL LANGUAGES ARE WELCOME. However, we have a high need for Vietnamese, Portuguese, Marshallese, Kosraean, Samoan and Spanish interpreters to support multilingual families.

The training class will be held at the Student Services Center (10903 Gravelly Lake Dr. SW) which is located in the same parking lot as Clover Park High School. To register, please email [email protected].

Custer and Idlewild students channeled their inner entrepreneurs at Lemonade Day! 🍋

Students sold ice-cold lemonade from stalls they built, operated and marketed to customers. In the weeks leading up to this event, students learned about business ownership, food handling, recipe creation, finances, marketing and more. They used this knowledge to create their own team-operated booths and raise funds for a school project or charitable cause. Thank you to Sodexo and the many families, staff and community members who supported our budding entrepreneurs this year!
