Wow! What a great first week back with our staff and students. Thank you to our wonderful PTO for having a breakfast spread ready for our teachers on the first week back.

The hallways are so much brighter now that we have students back in them. A lot of smiles, learning, and friendships happening at LME. GO CATS!

Benny got his back to school bath to be nice and clean for the kids! Did you know that Scenthounds provides Benny with free grooming to help manage cleanliness and shedding. We are grateful for their support of the School Resource Dog program in Lakeville. Take a look at the pics behind Benny. Superintendent Michael Baumann is pleased to announce Alyssa Coleman as the new Principal of Lake Marion Elementary!

Ms. Coleman is a skilled instructional leader, and has served in various roles throughout Lakeville Area Schools since 2022, most recently as the Assistant Principal at Highview Elementary. She will make a wonderful addition in her return to the Lake Marion community.

Today was Pawsitive Perspectives Assistance Dogs (PawPADs) School Resource Dog Handler training at LME. We had all the dogs from around the district here at LME. Benny loves his training and working with handlers, but he loves being around the kids even more. He can’t wait to see them!

PS That’s Benny’s sister Smudge. They haven’t seen each other in two years. They are definitely siblings!

Today we said goodbye to the students for the summer. As with every year, we want to give our 5th graders a big send-off for their final year of elementary school. They spent six years with us. It is the longest they will be at any school in their educational lives. Our Promotion Day was filled with singing, speeches, and a red-carpet walk to celebrate. We will miss you 5th grade! Go CATS!!!
