As this year comes to a close, we have nothing to say but thank you to those that have contributed any support to us since we were established in 1936. The Firefighters of LVFD INC always enjoyed giving back to this community. A lot has changed with the fire protection in 2023 for the Town of Lakeville and Union Township residents. We only pray that the current administration and township firefighters can do what’s best for our residents in 2024. If you’re a taxpayer and question their changes, it’s suggested to reach out to the Fire Territory Board members and the Union Township Trustee. You have every right to have your questions answered. Be sure to stay up to date on your local politics by attending meetings of the Lakeville Fire Territory Board and Union Township Board.

Congratulations to our Lakeville Chief, Ben Kane! He was awarded the “Heart of a Hoosier” by the State of Indiana. Jake Teshka presented the award to Chief Kane. Thanks to everyone that was able to show up and show your support.

This morning the Lakeville Town Christmas lights were removed by the LVFD Fireman. We would like to thank the Town Maintenance personnel who helped. They also store and maintain the ornaments. Bigger shout out to Pemberton Davis Electric for the use of their bucket truck! Makes the process much quicker and smoother. Thank you to everyone who reached out and told us they enjoyed the Christmas lights this season.
