This event will be held at two locations in New Bedford: Keith Middle School and New Bedford High School.

The most important thing you as a resident can do to help prevent flooding and ponding on your street is to keep the storm drains free from leaves and grass clippings.
Leaves, grass, brush, and branches also leach nutrients into the stormwater system, contributing to pollution in our waters.
As we say, “only rain down the drain”!

The Lakeville Transfer Station is partnering with the Greater New Bedford Regional Refuse District to offer access to a Household Hazardous Waste Day!

The Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, July 4th.

But! We are open for business as usual on Friday, July 3rd!

The Transfer Station will be closed on Friday, June 19th in honor of the Juneteenth Holiday. The facility will be open normal operating hours on Saturday, June 20th.

The paving schedule posted on May 29th has changed.

Monday, June 8th - Woodview Drive & Holloway Brook

Tuesday, June 9th - Moulton & Lang Street

Wednesday, June 10th - School Street

Residents of these roads are asked to locate and flag existing sprinkler heads within ten feet of the roadway edge. The Town of Lakeville is not responsible for replacing sprinkler heads or broken systems during construction, but every effort will be made to avoid them if they are flagged.

Police details will be onsite throughout the project to assist with traffic flow and safety. There will be a rough road surface between the time of Milling and Paving, please use caution when traveling. The top course of pavement will require additional time to set, resulting in delays and temporary periods of closure and limited access. We are asking residents to exercise patience and use alternate routes whenever possible.

All dates are weather dependent and any updates/changes will be posted on the DPW pages of Facebook and the Town website.
