South Sound Parent Coalition What we do:

The purpose of SSPC is to promote a better future in the community for all individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.

We do this by empowering those with developmental disabilities to reach their highest level of social, physical and emotional growth by providing encouragement, resource connections, information and education to support their self-advocating for full inclusion and participation in community throughout their lifespan. How do we do this? We provide opportunities for individuals to utilize their self

advocacy skills and use their voice to express concerns and perspectives in their community. We distribute current information on issues in legislation at the local, state and federal level that affect persons with dd/id and their families. We offer trainings and workshops on relevant topics. We help connect with appropriate community supports and/or agency resources. And more......
