Something GRAND is happening at Lakeside Public Library! 📚
Beginning May 23 through July 13 (tentative), the library will be temporarily closed for renovations as we work toward creating a refreshed and updated community space for Lakeside.
Originally established in 1987, the library has seen very few interior updates over the years. Our team has been hard at work preparing for improvements including new shelving, paint, carpeting, cupboards and flooring, just to name a few. We’ll be sharing progress photos along the way so the community can follow the transformation with us.
During the closure:
• Patrons may still place holds on materials from other libraries
• Hold pick-ups will take place Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 AM–12 PM at City Hall
• The outside return box will remain open 24/7
• Library cards may still be used at any Coos or Curry County library
We know temporary closures can be inconvenient and truly appreciate the community’s patience during this exciting update. When renovations are complete, we’ll have a beautiful new space for everyone to enjoy for years to come.
Summer Reading will still continue during renovations. Children can sign up for the free Summer Reading Program at City Hall. The program begins June 16 and will take place every Tuesday at 1 PM. More information on additional summer programs will be shared soon.
